12:10 am - Parade / Caboose / Phone
Went to a Mardi Gras parade Friday night with Liz, Heather, and Ian...it was fun. Then we went out to the Caboose. I'll let the pictues in the LJ-Cut do the talking...

Friday Night Parade + The Caboose on The StripCollapse )

Also, bought a new phone. I've been very unsatisfied with my current cellphone's lack of MP3 abilities. So, I noticed Heather bought a Nokia 3300 off eBay. I looked into it and it's cheap, and still very kick ass (considering the phone came out in 2003). I figure I'll get a 1Gb MMC card and use it as a mini MP3 player as well. Take that iShit!

I think it's time for my computer to take a nap.

30 days is enough.

I'm going camping so I won't be around. Maybe I'll have cell service, who knows? Bye.

So, I thought Rob's case was isolated...guess it isn't so isolated.

I got this email from UL tonight...

02:05 am - No School For Me!
Well, since I don't have school on Fridays this semester. I'll take the liberty of staying up late and playing with my new things.

Firstly, I had to go pick up NHL 06.

Secondly, I found a copy of In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth:3.

How nice. I also never posted this up, but I got these a couple weeks ago (Live at the Starland Ballroom and Second Stage Turbine Blade).

All that's left is Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through The Eyes of Madness. Long title, eh? I'll get the limited edition that comes with a DVD as well.

Anyway, now that I'm taking a break from NHL 06, I'll go over life and such.

The second semester has started and I'll give a brief run down of how the classes are and how the professors are.

Mondays and Wednesdays:

Hydraulics - Dr. Keska - The guy looks like Archie Bunker. The class looks like it'll be cool. Though, it's a two hour course. Mondays are spent at a work desk in this big room in Rougeou hall with all sorts of machines and crap. Fun. Wednesdays are lecture in a classroom. :/

Electronics - Dr. Messiha - My first impression of him is that he's going to be a douche bag. First day of class, he comes in, pratically yelling and barking out orders, etc. Getting worked up about being recognized at Dr. Messiha, and not Mr. Messiha. I guess hes earned it, but for being a dick about it, he's a douche.

Graphics - Dr. Messiha - I haven't gone to this class yet, but I'm sure it'll be lame.

Tuesdays and Thursdays:

Statistics - I don't even know - Some Pakistani dude. He came in class the first day and was saying, in broken English, "This class very difficult." Great.

Physics 2 - Dr. Hollerman - This guys wild. His research job is doing particle acceleration. He seems cool. Not as cool as Sonnier (Phyiscs 1), but cool nonetheless. He said we'll do many experiments in class and stuff. I want to volunteer to have 200,000 volts run through my body. Hah.

Health - Mr. Blanchard - This class doesn't start until March 9th for me.

Safety/Accident Prev - Mr. Muller - I have to take this dumb safety class. Muller is a riot, though. It's "damn" this or "hell" that. It's an added bonus that he looks exactly like Milton from Office Space. He's also my advisor. Yeah, yawn.

Well, I'm going to bed. If I don't work tomorrow we're either going to the zoo or ice skating or both.

Oh, before I forget...this was slipped under my door today.

Is this lol or what? My apartment complex has changed ownership. Too bad they aren't changing management or getting rid of the blithering idiots who work in the office. Then, the name just sounds bad. University House at Lafayette. At least UC made sense because, you know, we have a courtyard of sorts. Whatever.

The best part is the MTV Real World Resident party on Feb 3rd. What the fuck is that? Do I get to be on TV, Or will they just send some shitty VJ to play crappy music? I'm thinking the latter. Fuck you, MTV.

Ah well, today was fun. I went to the mall with Jason so he could go play his DDR stuff. I go wander around; I end up reading the Coheed and Cambria graphic novel at Hot Topic (I donated to cobalt&calcium to get the vidoes today, also). I then go into GameStop. I don't even play my PS2. I don't know why I have it. I only have one game, FFX, which, I said I'd get back 4 years ago. I ended up getting it like this past summer, and just never played it. I use my PS2 to watch movies. Haha. But, since I've been in such a hockey mode today. I had to pick up NHL 2K6. Now, I chose 2K6 and not the EA made NHL 2006 because the clerk said it was much better. I'll have to see. I might just get EA's one, too.

While walking through Dillards I swear I saw a girl who looked just like Traci, only a bit taller and older. I literally stopped. lol. So, I had to phone her to tell her she had a twin. Ha.

I wonder if Traci will find this pointless, too?!!? What say you?

School starts tomorrow. How lame?

My schedule is like this:

Statistics from 930-1045
Physics from 1100-1215
Health from 130-220
engineering from 330-445

...then, I have work around 5...whatever time I get back, until 9. 12 hours of hell.

at least I have hockey....and infact, a game is on right now...later, dudes.

03:01 pm - Best News of the Year!!
The managing partner of a group that owns four minor league hockey teams -- including one in Beaumont -- has had preliminary talks with Cajundome officials about what it would take to get another hockey team in Lafayette to take the place of the defunct IceGators, Cajundome Director Greg Davis said.

Davis said he has been approached by representatives proposing franchises with the East Coast Hockey League and the Central Hockey League.

Adams asked whether the Cajundome would "be interested in the return" of hockey.

"We said, 'Yes, we are,' " Davis said.

'Yes, we are,'

Because we all know that for my well being the Cajundome needs more:
